PHC Restoration had another busy week this week finishing up a couple of large water damage losses in Raleigh in addition to other projects still under repair in the area.  I was able to get out to one of the job sites and was blown away with not only the quality of the repair work we completed, but also by the care and precision we took when moving the homeowner back into his home.  It started with our contents team during pack out.  They carefully documented all the items they packed up so that everything was returned to the same location when the job was completed.  Then, the guys moved the furniture and appliances back into the home.  They were constantly talking to make sure everything fit through the doorways and around corners careful not to nick the furniture, walls or door jams.  This just shows the level of care we show our customers, treating their personal property with the same respect with which we would treat our own.

As a side note, we’ve seen several water losses resulting from leaks to the ice maker line and the dishwasher.  It never hurts to check behind appliances every couple of months or once each season to see if there are any leaks.  Some leaks start small and you might be able to catch the problem before it turns into too big of a mess.  Also, shop vacs and fans aren’t always successful in removing all the water and successfully drying the effected areas.  Contact your insurance company and remember that PHC has staff on call 24 hours a day to help with your water damage emergencies in Raleigh and the surrounding areas.
