Whether you have suffered a fire loss to your home or water damage to your business, contents cleaning is a key part to the restoration process. PHC Restoration has over 10,000 square feet of warehouse space dedicated to contents processing. This space is complete with a deodorization chamber, hand and Ultrasonic cleaning stations, and ample secured storage where contents are clearly marked on each box.
PHC uses a digital photo inventory (DPI) system to accurately inventory and document all items that are to be packed, cleaned, and stored following a loss to your home such as smoke or fire damage. DPI replaces the need to handwrite each individual item that is packed. Instead, photographs are taken of all personal property to be cleaned and stored and then given a DPI numbered label. The numbered labels aid in locating items and the photos provide documentation of pre-existing conditions of the items. Once the pack-out and inventory are complete, the homeowner and insurance adjuster are given a job binder which includes printed pictures and a CD for their reference.
Our Contents Cleaning technicians hand wash delicate items and use ultrasonic cleaning machines to clean most other contents. Ultrasonic cleaning uses high frequency sound waves through water to remove smoke residue, mold, heat scale, oxides and even microscopic dust and soot from tiny crevices that are unreachable by hand. The use of this equipment allows PHC to clean contents quicker, allowing the contents to be available to the homeowner sooner; and allow us to clean items that were once considered not cleanable, thus reducing the number of write-offs or total losses.
