Katie officially began working for PHC Restoration in 2005, but grew up spending many summer days in the business cleaning contents in the warehouse or visiting job sites with Carl, her father. After graduating with a BA in Communication from Campbell University and working in morning radio, Katie made the move into the family business. She quickly began taking courses and earning various certifications while learning everything she could about the restoration industry. In 2009, Katie became a Project Manager, overseeing PHC’s Contents division where she wrote estimates, supervised pack outs and implemented a digital photo inventory system to pack, inventory and store contents. In 2011, Katie was formally pinned as a Certified Restorer, joining an elite group of only 11 active female Certified Restorers in the world. Katie moved into the role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2014 and is very active both in the local community and within the restoration industry. She served as the 2014 President of the Lillington Chamber of Commerce and has served as President of the Mid South Professional Cleaners Association since 2014. Katie was elected to the Restoration Industry Association Board of Directors in 2015, chairs the RIA’s Membership and Marketing Committee, and joined the Harnett Health Foundation in 2017. Katie has embraced the challenges of leading the second generation of PHC Restoration and continues to execute the high standards of quality that Carl has set for the company.
